Glad you asked my view even tho it is a stupid question. It really doesn't make much difference what my thoughts or opinions maybe re the proposed race track and any associated tax plan to help pay for same. I keep voting no on taxes and how or why we need to raise more tax revenue and it is to no avail. We, the tax payers, keep denying any atttemt to collect additional tax renenue and these tax proposals are voted down overwhelmingly, but the legislature, in their infinite wisdom, goes ahead and edicts to add the tax anyway in one form or another. The state will collect money for the ferry system by hook or crook. Look at the addtional taxes on registration fees effective Jan 1. Look at how funding is to be collected for the narrows bridge after voting it down in Gig Harbor and Peninsula areas. The State puts it up to all of the state for a vote and people in Eastern Washington could care less. My property tax will go up significantly this year, my vehicles tax will go up 6 fold, my vehicle gas costs will go up by 20 to 30 percent and you ask am I in favor of additional sales tax in Pierce County to pay for the track. What answer do you expect?
